It's not just about dating. This touches on an everyday concern about meeting strangers. It's the Marketplace pickup in a driveway you've never seen, the house call, the address handed to someone you've only ever texted. Underneath the joke is a real plan: tell someone where you'll be, just in case. But staying covered usually costs something: an awkward conversation, your live location, the feeling that you're making your evening someone else's job. So we often just don't: we trade our safety for our privacy. We built Kautio because you shouldn't have to choose.

Who are we?

We're the same team behind Hearthmates, the app that finds you the right home, right now. Every day, our members tour each other's places and open their doors to people they first met online. We believe everyone should be able to live their lives freely without trading away their safety or their privacy, so we built the tool to do it.
